Projects

The experience behind Civic Six extends well beyond finance and project delivery. Our team has spent decades working alongside public leaders, first responders, administrators, and community stakeholders to understand needs, evaluate alternatives, establish priorities, and transform complex civic challenges into actionable projects.

The work below represents that experience helping communities make informed decisions and create public assets that strengthen service, resilience, and quality of life for generations.

Our Civic Projects Nationwide

Police and Fire

Nappanee Fire Station 1

Working with Nappanee, our team helped the community rethink how fire and EMS services could be brought together from three outdated facilities into one modern, highly functional home for first responders. The solution balanced emergency response, firefighter health and training, neighborhood context, and responsible use of a constrained site creating a long-term public safety investment that serves both those responding to emergencies and the community depending on them.

Public Use

Cedar Lake Town Hall

Following the community's investment in its new public safety facilities, Cedar Lake turned its attention to the next phase of its municipal campus and the long-term needs of Town government. Our team worked with leadership and staff to define current and future operational requirements, develop the program and early concepts, understand anticipated costs, and give decision-makers the information needed to determine how—and when—the Town Hall project should move forward.

Service Buildings

Monroe County Emergency Operations Center

In the Florida Keys, resilience is not an abstract design objective, it is essential community infrastructure. Working  with Monroe County's emergency management, fire, sheriff, communications, and administrative leaders, our team translated their operational requirements into a hardened Emergency Operations Center able to support coordinated response, communications, and continuity of government before, during, and after a major hurricane or emergency.

Corrections

Allen County Juvenile Detention Center

Our work with Allen County began by evaluating whether its aging youth facility could be renovated or if replacement was the better long-term investment. Our team helped define the County's preferred new-build solution, secure State funding for nearly half the project cost, and transform a 50-year-old model for juvenile care into a modern, restorative youth center focused on rehabilitation, safety, and better outcomes for young people and the community.
